Every year in Switzerland more than 8.000 victims are affected by a sudden cardiac arrest out-of-the hospital.
Less than 5% of them survive at that event, and only between 5-13% of the victims hit and rescued by emergency teams survive until the dismissal by the hospital. To make things worse is necessary considerate the time issue.
Victims have just between 8 and 10 minutes to be rescued and after the 6 minutes the chance of surviving decrease by 10%.
Furthermore, ambulance services need 12 minutes at least to reach the emergency site.
